Outdoor Education

The Outdoor School is a beloved part of the Friends of Heybrook Ridge, in tribute to our shared mission of environmental education. Its team leads Nature Classes for Index-area students.

FOHR funds outdoor gear (coats, shoes, socks and boots) for the kids, all of whom deserve to join in whether they can afford (or simply remember) to come with appropriate gear. Likewise, FOHR continues to fund the kids' nature journals.

Ask one of the students to show you their journals filled with their notes and art—they are precious.
